Animal Assisted Programs
It is now well evidenced that pets are good for our health. Animals are assisting in therapeutic activities in a variety of settings, from schools, nursing homes, hospitals and prisons, to rehabilitation for veterans. Therapeutic riding improves motor co-ordination and sensory awareness for those with cognitive and physical disabilities. Our companion animals engage us on an empathic, compassionate, emotional level and heighten our awareness of how we relate to those around us. At A True Image Consulting, we believe that the relational nature of animals can help to facilitate any transitional process, be it at work or at home. We offer a range of organizational programs and courses as well as animal assisted sessions for individuals, couples, groups and families.
Animals live in the present moment and bring themselves into relationship authentically. Horses and dogs, in particular, are highly attuned to human emotions and challenge us to stay congruent with our feelings when relating with them. In return, they offer us non-judgemental, honest feedback and teach us to be more aware of the connections between our mind, body and emotions through our breath and body sensations. This allows us the opportunity to make contact with ourselves and our environment and relate to others in a different way.

Puppy love.....
Alfie is a 3 year old English Cocker Spaniel and an experienced therapy dog. He has been certified and evaluated for therapeutic assisted animal activities through Pets As Therapy UK, and Paws4People in the US. Volunteering at elderly care homes and at a local adolescent behavioral unit, Alfie brings a calm and loving energy into any environment. He is also experienced in assisting Veronica in sessions with individuals and couples with his authentic presence.
The herd at Ride-on Ranch includes old timers Cowboy and Dolittle, who are experienced therapeutic riding horses. They have recently been joined by the little Haflinger, Hefty, who has a mind of his own but is a steady and strong presence in the herd. There are also a number of other horses, dogs, cows, sheep and donkeys on the ranch, all of whom add to the therapeutic environment on site.

A True Image Consulting has teamed up with the herd at Ride-on Ranch in Lovettsville, Virginia, to offer clients organizational consulting and personal development sessions with a difference. Autumn Wacker of Ride-on Ranch is a NAHRA certified therapeutic riding instructor and Occupational Therapist and is passionate about bringing clients into contact with horses. As a nonprofit organization, Ride-on Ranch relies on a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly towards their mission statement to 'provide therapy for people with cognitive, psychological, and physical disabilities by building social, physical and emotional skills through therapeutic riding and other equine-assisted activities.' A True Image Consulting is honored to be included in this venture and proud that a percentage of proceeds from sessions on site will go towards supporting Ride-on Ranch.

Initial 50 mins assessment for program suitability - $120
75 mins Individual Session - $125
2 hr Couples/Family session - $160
2 hr Personal Development Group Sessions - $50 per person
Organizational Programs are priced on a bespoke basis
